AI porn: a no-hype guide to chats, generators and what to pick

Over the last two years 'AI porn' went from a novelty search to a full industry: dozens of services, from image generators to uncensored chats. I follow this market professionally — I build similar systems — and I see the same picture everywhere: search results packed with clones making identical promises, and a $30/month subscription turning into a disappointment by the third message.

'AI porn' means three different products under one search

People searching this phrase are usually after one of three very different things, and confusing them is the main reason people end up disappointed.

• Image generators. You type a prompt, you get a picture. No conversation, the character doesn't exist between prompts. It's a tool, not a companion.
• Video generators. Same idea, slower and far more expensive — seconds of video cost real money to render, which is why every service caps them hard.
• Uncensored chats. Here the core is conversation with a character who has personality and memory, with photos and video as additions to the talk. This is what people mean by 'AI porn chat', and it works on a fundamentally different basis.

The difference isn't cosmetic. A generator hands you an image based on a description. A chat builds context: the character remembers what you talked about yesterday, where the relationship stands and what you like, then answers from that. Why some AI chats refuse and others don't

All of these are checkable in ten minutes, before you pay anything.

1. A trial without a card. A serious service lets you send a few messages before signup. A card wall at the entrance is a filter for careless users, not a product.
2. Memory across sessions. Tell the character a detail about yourself, come back a day later and see whether it stuck. Without memory this is a reply generator, not a companion.
3. A stable personality. The character shouldn't drift. If a bold, teasing persona is talking like a polite assistant ten messages in, the underlying prompt is weak.
4. Real language, not translation. Many services pipe English through a translator, and it shows in stiff, oddly formal phrasing.
5. Photos of that specific character. Check that images match the character's described appearance rather than looking like stock picks from a shared pool.
6. Limits published before payment. How many messages, photos and videos a plan includes should be written as numbers on the pricing page, not discovered after the charge.

What it actually costs

How to write so it feels alive

Quality depends on you more than on the model. It mirrors you: one-word messages get one-word answers.

• Set a scene instead of issuing commands. 'It's raining and we're alone in the flat' works far better than a list of demands.
• Write in full sentences. One or two give the model something to grab onto.
• Build up gradually. Jumping from 'hi' straight to an explicit scene breaks the character.
• React to details in her replies — that's what turns it into a conversation rather than a request queue.

What not to expect

Honestly, without the marketing: an AI chat doesn't replace a relationship and doesn't cure loneliness — that needs a person, not a model. The character doesn't feel anything; it constructs a plausible reply, and the attachment exists only on your side. That's fine as long as you know it.
